Yes! When you are based in Flanders, you can enjoy financial support on both initial and refresher NDT courses with the KMO Portefeuille subsidy. This will make your expert training more accessible and affordable.

If you don’t pass, no worries. You can apply for a re-examination (whether theory, practical or both). A minimum waiting period of 1 month applies and the re-exam must be completed within 2 years of the original exam date. We will help you to schedule a new exam date.

Certification extensions are required every 5 years, while full recertification is needed every 10 years.

Extensions: you must submit a dossier proving sufficient work experience with the relevant technique and proof of client. You will also have to complete a short practical exam including work instruction. If you haven’t gained enough experience over the 5 years? No stress. You can still apply for renewal. In that case, you will have to do a full practical exam instead of a short exam.

Recertification: you will need to complete a practical exam and also submit a dossier with your work experience. If you haven’t gained enough experience, you can still apply for recertification. In addition to the practical exam you will need to do a theoretical exam as well.
