Re-examination
You didn’t pass your initial NDT exam? No worries, come back stronger!
If your first exam didn’t go as planned (whether theory, practical or both), we offer a re-examination.
Just remember:
- A 1-month wait is required before re-testing.
- You must re-exam within 2 years of your original exam date.
- You may re-exam twice for each part of the original exam.
Renewal (5-Year Interval)
Keep your certification going strong.
Every 5 years, you must renew your NDT certification to ensure you remain up to date in your field.
Here is how it works:
- You need a portfolio showing enough recent work experience with the relevant technique, including proof of client work.
- You will have to complete a short practical exam including work instruction.
If you haven’t gained enough experience over the 5 years? No stress. You can still apply for renewal. In that case, you will have do a full practical exam instead of a short exam.
Recertification (10-year interval)
Still got it? Prove it!
Every 10 years, it’s time to show your full skill set again as an NDT professional, with a complete recertification.
This involves:
- You must complete a full practical exam to confirm your knowledge and expertise are still top-notch.
- You have to show proof of enough practical experience over the years.
If you haven’t gained enough experience. No stress. You can still apply for recertification. In addition to the practical exam you will need to do a theoretical exam as well.
